Sporting success in Year 6, Boundary Oak School
Boundary Oak School pupils Charlie H and George L, both in Year 6, have achieved great success over the past year, competing with swimming club Fareham Nomads.
Charlie and George came first in the recent national arena event and second in the Junior Cup. The Fareham Nomads youngsters lifted the Junior Cup for their team for the first time since 2007!
Head coach John Molyneaux said: ‘It was great to see Fareham Nomads dominating the gala and lifting the trophy again after nine years.
‘Our swimmers had a total of 62 personal best times, with 32 coming from the Fareham Nomads A team and 30 from the Fareham Nomads B team.
‘The atmosphere was electric with both teams competing. It was great for our younger swimmers to step up and race especially as for many it was their first competition.’
Most recently both boys have managed to gain entry into the Hampshire County Championships where they will be racing in a number of events. The boys from Boundary Oak School in Fareham have also been selected to represent Fareham Nomads in the team relays for the under 12’s.
What a fantastic achievement for them both – we all wish them every bit of luck for your races!
