Why choose Junior School at Boundary Oak?

Junior pupils thrive within our joyful, nurturing educational community. Personal, social and academic development are all important to us at Boundary Oak, and we strive to ensure our pupils achieve the full potential during their time at the school. We believe that learning opportunities should extend beyond the classroom, and we offer an extensive co-curricular programme, regular outdoor learning and field trips that serve to enrich the curriculum.

Caring, kind, highly qualified teachers know our young pupils closely and ensure they have the best mindset to learn and gain a good grounding in Junior School.

A wholesome environment, fostering a sense of security and confidence building with the friendliness of a village school.

Welcome from the Head of Junior School

"The pupils, staff and I are excited to introduce you to Boundary Oak’s Junior School. In the words of our children, we are a fun, kind, respectful, safe and friendly community and we can’t wait to show you this important part of our school.

Our Junior School welcomes everyone from Pre-School through to Year 6, giving us the warmth of a close-knit primary community with the added benefits of secondary school facilities and the support of specialist staff.

At Boundary Oak, we build on the best aspects of the National Curriculum, expanding it to reflect our pupils’ unique interests and strengths. This flexibility allows us to engage, motivate and challenge our pupils effectively.

Our small class sizes foster strong, supportive relationships, which is key to nurturing each pupil’s learning journey. The breadth of our curriculum and expansive co-curricular offering empower pupils to discover their strengths and build the confidence that enables them to take the risks needed to drive their success across all areas of learning.

We are proud of our caring and skilled teachers dedicated to nurturing each pupil’s personal and academic growth. Taking the time to get to know the children in their classes, they carefully plan engaging, individualized learning experiences that foster strong academic foundations and build a lifelong love of learning. Our inspiring specialist teachers bring their expertise and passion to PE, art, music, languages and outdoor learning, enhancing our curriculum and sparking enthusiasm.

In our compassionate community, individuality is celebrated by both staff and pupils and we delight in our approach that recognises that everyone’s unique qualities enrich our school. This shines through in our pupils’ responses when asked what is most important to them at Boundary Oak. The answers range from friendships to football matches, kind teachers to delicious food, maths challenges to Art Club; the variety exemplifies life at Boundary Oak.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Junior School so that you can discover why our pupils believe Boundary Oak is so special."
