Why board at Boundary Oak?
A nurturing experience from Year 5 onward
At Boundary Oak, your child will feel safe and secure within our boarding family. Their happiness and well-being is every bit as important as their academic progress. New boarders are given a buddy to support them as they find their feet, and our boarding staff, led by Mrs Plumpton, are always on hand to support every boarder.
Our boarders enjoy round-the-clock care and guidance, ensuring they feel cared for and confident throughout their time at school. As they grow and progress, older boarders are entrusted with greater independence, helping them develop essential life skills. All boarders, regardless of age, are encouraged to personalise their living spaces, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment that feels like home.
Our family environment means pupils feel free to be themselves and relax outside of classroom time. A mixed age profile develops resilience and a sense of responsibility for peers, the school and the world.
Boarding facilities designed for comfort and growth
Our boarding house is designed to be a comfortable home away from home for boarders. Your child will have everything they need to enjoy a homely experience here, including kitchen, library, computer room and a senior common room for older pupils. Pupils also have access to 30 acres of countryside and the school’s sports facilities, including our sports centre, a swimming pool, tennis courts and more.
Balancing academic achievement with personal well-being
Our boarders grow and learn together, building the skills and confidence they need to thrive at every stage of their education, and beyond. We also value the importance of balance. The daily routine ensures time for co-curricular activities, opportunities to unwind, and dedicated periods for independent study and homework –helping pupils achieve their full potential while nurturing their personal wellbeing.
A fun weekend programme blends downtime and study prep with excursions including varied trips and exciting activities, such as escape rooms, ice skating, shopping and paintballing. No two weekends are the same!
The boarding staff are simply fantastic. They always ensure that the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, and help my children to feel valued, loved and self-confident.
